General
The DiMarzio DP425 Satch Track Neck pickup fills exactly the gap between the traditional humbucker and the typical operation of a single coil. Designed in collaboration with virtuoso Joe Satriani, the element is his first single coil format pickup. The Satch Track Neck responds very sharply to pick-attack and string vibrations (as a single coil should), but also has a very wide and strong sound character that you would expect precisely from a humbucker. The high is very warm and bright - this is the result of a focused midrange and low-end and the pickup has a 'singing' sound, so to speak.
