Way back in the day, grandpa tells by the fireside, you had the Oberheim SEM module. This was a kind of desktop module containing a complete synthesiser, but monophonic. But yes, the penchant for polyphony was there at the time, so what did Oberheim do? They popped eight SEM modules together in a frame, and apparently it could be that simple! It was an expensive joke, of course, but those with serious money in those days welcomed the device with champagne. You can go back to those days with the much more affordable Cherry Audio Eight Voice. With the same fine vintage sound, and of course at least as fine vintage looks. An asset for your modern retro studio.
