The Innox IVA 12: Designed to Support a Heavy Microphone

The IVA 12 has been specifically designed for securely mounting microphones with a considerable size and weight. The mass of a condenser microphone in particular can heavily impact the overall stability of your microphone stand, possibly causing it to tip over during a recording. Fortunately, the IVA 12 is equipped with solid tightening knobs that provide optimal grip and stability, preventing such unpleasant surprises. The stand is adjustable in height and comes with a number of practical, integrated cable clips for optimal cable management. Thanks to its remarkably flexible yet rugged, telescopic tube construction, the IVA 12 can even be used for a stable overhead set-up.

I find these stands to have exceptional build quality at the price point. The large knob used to tighten the boom arm pivot is a particularly good feature, allowing artists with weaker grip strength to fix even heavier mics firmly in the desired position. For this money it is a no brainer - you need to spend 2-3 times as much to get similar quality elsewhere.

Looks sturdy but the thread on the height adjustment is very odd on mine, sometimes it tightens nicely, sometimes it just keeps turning and doesnt tighten but the inner pole doesnt drop, so its not a massive issue
