General

When using a professional microphone, you naturally don't want to hear disturbing ambient noise coming from wind or movement. Neumann's WNS 100 is a black wind cap made of porous polyurethane foam that does not affect a microphone's directional characteristic. With a diameter of 45 mm, this wind cap is suitable for microphones from the KM 100 series or KM 183, KM 184 or KM 185. Wind noise is attenuated by about 18 dB The attenuation was measured in an air stream at a speed of 20 km/h, using a noiseless fan. Attenuation at 15 kHz is about 2 dB.
