General
RME present the 12Mic: a digitally driven 12-channel microphone preamplifier that supports both AVB and MADI, and naturally comes with the superb quality of A/D conversion we've come to expect from RME. Since AVB and MADI connectivity is included, this preamp is able to offer audio professionals everything they might need. In addition, the 12Mic comes with four microphone/line preamps and no less than 12 microphone/instrument inputs. Next to MADI, there are two Gigabit Ethernet ports to send audio signals across the local network, while the practical second power connector can be used to keep the device supplied with power if the main power input fails. Finally, the RME 12Mic features Word Clock I/O to synchronise any connected digital equipment in the chain via RME's renowned SteadyClock FS technology.
