General

RME introduce the FireFace UFX III, setting the bar even higher for high-end interfaces. This top-notch USB audio interface is equipped to handle 94 channel I/O at the same time and boasts super-stable drivers, ultra-low latency and RME's patented SteadyClock FS technology which ensures your recordings sound spot-on. Meanwhile, via MADI, you gain the option to record a maximum of 64 channels at the same time, making the Fireface UFX III a go-to for multi-track recording, even more so since the built-in DSP mixer makes setting up multiple monitor mixes as simple as can be.

Fully Refreshed Analogue and Digital Design

Since the internal analogue components have been redesigned from scratch, the FireFace UFX III not only comes with new AD/DA converters and DC-coupled analogue outputs, but offers even better optimised total harmonic distortion and noise levels. The digital circuit has also received various high-tech upgrades, including two headphone outputs which can come in handy when you want to assess a mix using two different pairs of headphones, or when you want to send a separate monitor mix to the recording artist. For I/O expansion, the interface has been outfitted with ADAT inputs and outputs, allowing you to add an extra eight ins and eight outs.

DURec (Direct USB Recording)

Powered by an internal DSP, the integrated DURec recording technology makes it possible to record directly to a USB storage device without the need for a laptop or computer. This revolutionary feature essentially prepares the interface for standalone use, turning the Fireface UFX III into a field recorder or powerful multi-channel live-player as needed. Last but not least, RME have once again incorporated TotalMix FX for fuss-free routing and mixing.

Wrote the following about RME Fireface UFX III USB 3 Audio Interface

Mind blowing flexibility, incredibly powerful output and clarity, and the most precise analog preamp I’ve tried so far. I’m just getting started, having recently let go of my Apollo Quad but so far I’m not dissapointed.
Also the unit is surprisingly compact and light compared to its features, a treat to fit on the rack.

Een super mooie interface.

Veel getwijfeld welke interface ik zou kiezen maar de RME Fireface stelt op geen enkel vlak teleur.
De stalen behuizing is degelijk gemaakt en super mooi afgewerkt. Totalmix geeft je de absolute vrijheid om alles te routen zoals je zelf wenst. Het geluid is van super kwaliteit en geeft alles heel gedetailleerd weer.
De preamps zijn super clean waardoor je zelf nog het geluid kan kleuren naar wens.

Wat een geweldig product!
Ik ben student muziekproductie, mijn carrière is op dit moment in een serieuze opmars dus ik kon niet meer wegkomen met mijn monitors ter grote van een brik melk, en mijn audio-interfaceje van Behringer. Ik zocht naar een goede investering die me top-of-the-line kwaliteit gaf met uitbreidingsmogelijkheid naar de toekomst toe. Hier zijn we dan! 6 maand onderzoek (en eventjes wachten op de black friday sale) later, en ik heb hem eindelijk tepakken! De bouwkwaliteit is van uitermate goede kwaliteit. Ook de software is stabiel en uitgebreid. Alle I/O die erin zit biedt niet alleen de ruimte om naar de toekomst toe veel uit te breiden maar ook om in professionele studios naadloos je systeem aan te sluiten. Ook field recording is mogelijk op een uitermate professionele manier! Deze gaat me nog lang meegaan. 5 Sterren! (en ja deze is beter dan de Apollo X8 ;) )
