General
This BK-6514SH Black Dawg snare drum by WorldMax measures 14 x 6.5 inches. It has a shell made of brass for a powerful sound that is versatile, deep and warm with plenty of brightness. All of the snares in the Black Dawg series have excellent sound properties and they look very nice too!
WorldMax BK-6514SH Black Dawg 14 x 6.5 inch snare drum
A snare drum with a wooden shell usually gives you a warm sound, while one with a metal shell is mostly brighter and sharper. WorldMax's Black Dawg series uses brass to give you warmth as well as brightness at the same time. This model has a black, nickel-plated brass finish. The hoops are made of 2.3 mm-thick Super Steel which offers controllable resonance and is excellent for rimshots and rim clicks. This drum, like others in the series, have Remo UT drumheads.
