General
If you are looking for a snare drum with a warm, deep sound and a lot of volume, you quickly end up with a brass snare drum. With the Black Dawg series, WorldMax has put a number of brass snare drums on the market that not only have excellent sound characteristics, but also look very nice!
WorldMax BK-8014SH Black Dawg 14 x 8-inch snare drum
If you are looking for a warm sound, you usually use a wooden snare. On the contrary, if you want a bright, sharp sound you choose metal, steel or aluminium. With one snare drum, wouldn't it be much more convenient to have both options? Brass is the solution, and they know that all too well at WorldMax. This black nickel-plated Black Dawg snare has a 14-inch diameter and is 8 inches deep. So you can expect a warm, fat, clear sound and a wide vocal range. Thanks to the 2.3 mm Super Steel tensioning edges, rimclicks and rimshots come out excellently and resonance is perfectly controllable. As standard, these drums are strung with Remo UT heads: Coated as batter head and Clear as resonance head.
