General

With this Music Producer starter set, you set up a complete home or project studio for producing, recording and mixing in one go. You get 2x Yamaha HS5W active, white-finished studio monitors with a neutral, detailed bi-amped sound and adjustment options (Room Control/High Trim) to tailor them to your space. The monitors stand firmly on a set of König & Meyer stands with non-slip pads. Record in studio quality via the Arturia MiniFuse 1 (USB bus-powered) with intuitive controls, phantom power, level indication and loopback for streaming. For hands-on control, there's the Novation Launchkey 49 MK4 with faders, OLED, arpeggiator, scales/chords and expressive pads with polyphonic aftertouch. Includes 2x balanced Klotz Neutrik XLR-jack cable for interference-free connections.

Wrote the following about Arturia MiniFuse 1 White Audio Interface

Ik kocht deze audio interface omdat ik er een nodig had om mijn xlr microfoon met mijn pc te verbinden, dit doet hij goed want hij heeft genoeg gain om mijn condensormicrofoon heel erg luid te krijgen. Ik gebruik de interface ook als hoofdtelefoon dac en amp, hij ondersteunt misschien geen 'audiofile' audiocodecs zoals super audio cd, maar dat is eigenlijk toch een beetje een overbodig iets. De minifuse 1 weet in ieder geval veel stroom te leveren aan je hooftelefoon. Maar als je echt meer wil weten over de performance van deze interface zou ik de youtube video van Julian Krause kijken.

Vervolgens is dit een apparaat voor op mijn bureau en dan is het toch wel belangrijk dat hij er goed uit ziet, en dat doet deze zeker. Wel is het jammer dat het niet mogelijk is om de lampjes uit te zetten, voor sommigen is dit misschien afleidend in het donker als je bij je pc een film of serie kijkt. (Voor mij is dit geen probleem.)

Al met al is het een mooi ding en hij doet wat hij moet doen. De bijgeleverde software zoals ableton live lite is ook fijn.

Oi oi oi... Wat zijn deze monitoren geweldig voor muziekproductie!

Ikzelf maak hardere EDM (hardstyle / hardcore) en mijn tracks hebben nog nooit zó gebalanceerd en vol geklonken.

De nadrukkelijke mening(en) die mij is / zijn bijgebleven, na wat reviews gekeken te hebben, luidt:

'These speakers are unforgiving. If your mix ain't right, these speakers will tell you.'

Boy oh boy, wat hadden deze mensen gelijk! Deze speakers tillen je muziekproductie écht naar een volgend niveau. Na mijn KRK Rokit 6 -Gen3 die plots gebrom gaven (iets met de zwarte lijm las ik), is dit écht een verademing. Ik kan nu voor het laag, ondanks dat sub bass mist in deze Yamaha HS5's, erg goed de waveform van mijn kickdrums horen. Essentieel om de kicks passend te maken bij de rest van je mix / productie en hem écht vol te laten klinken. Om de bass nog wat te corrigeren, gebruik ik wel nog mijn headset om het niet te laten overheersen.

Ik kan niet anders zeggen dan dat ik deze monitoren maximaal aanraad voor jullie (hobby / professional) producers.

Ook casual luisteren naar muziek is heel tof. Boven verwachting totaalpakket!

Support élégant et discret. Logo un peu voyant sur le blanc... La fabrication est parfaite, les patins fournis font bien le travail, l'enceinte ne glisse pas. Je recommande.
La qualité est au rendez-vous. Toutefois, sur un sol imparfaitement plat, un jeu de patins réglable en hauteur est nécessaire, mais je suis un indécrottable perfectionniste !

I chose this device based on the review videos on YouTube. There are other products within a similar price range and have similar specs but they're older than this one (they have USB Type B connections). This one has USB Type C so this is a plus for me.

The sound quality is great, at least for my needs, which are an electric guitar, headphones, and FX software. I haven't tried it with the mic yet but it's likely to work the same way. It's really portable and the quality of the material makes it feel sturdy. The pods are coated with something like silicon which helps reduce the chance to slip.

I can easily recommend this device.

Prachtige studiomonitor-standaarden van hoge kwaliteit. Perfect voor mijn KRK Rokit 5-monitors. De verpakking is wel wat eenvoudig voor de prijs die je voor het product betaalt en het logo van K&M zit wat scheef geplakt op één van de standaarden.

Mooie witte monitor. Niet al te veel geld betaald hiervoor en ook een geduldig geluid wat eruit komt!

Met de 2-de equalizer kun je de kwaliteiten afstellen op je omgeving!
