Once a cult hero of the DAW world, FL Studio is one of the most popular music production packages going. Here, Novation treat all FL fans to a tasty and tactile production tool that's been designed from the ground up to provide a seamless workflow when teamed up with FL Studio. The Novation FLKEY-49 USB/MIDI keyboard comes loaded with sixteen colour-coded performance pads, a bank of eight encoders, a complete transport section, some exclusive controls for walking through various FL Studio functions and, since this is the second-largest model in the series, there's even space for a bank of nine faders. Basically, this keyboard offers FL Studio devotees a physical, hands-on interface that can actually be played. On top of that, this Novation offering comes with a fat stack of software, including a trial version of FL Studio Producer Edition and a library of virtual instruments made by some of the best.

Gewoon lekker, echt makkelijk op te zetten kan nu niet meer zonder echt een meesterwerk als je fl studio gebruikt.

Super blij mee!

Ik begin volgende maand aan de Herman brood academie, en ik zocht nog een goed keyboard die ik kon gebruiken als normaal keyboard en voor mijn fl studio. Deze was dus perfect!

Hij werkt super fijn en soepel, ik geniet er van en ik werk 10x zo snel nu het zo gemakkelijk gaat.

Volgende stap word een betere microfoon die ook van Bax gekocht gaat worden, super fijne service en snelle bezorging.

Deze synthesizer is gemaakt voor gebruiksgemak!

Het design wijst zich (na +/- 5 minuten inlezen) vanzelf, de instellingen heeft men zo door.
Ook wat betreft de instellingen zelf: deze synthesizer is af te stellen op persoonlijke voorkeuren op zowel de synthesizer zelf als de DAW waarop de synthesizer is afgesteld.
Mocht je er niet uitkomen om het geheel af te stellen (of gewoon geen zin hebben om de handleiding door te nemen), zijn er genoeg tutorial video's op sociale platforms te vinden via een simpele zoekopdracht.

De Novation FLKey is er ook in mindere keys verkrijgbaar, echter vind ik zelf dat 49 keys (mocht je het nog niet doorhebben: het nummer staat voor het aantal toetsen) precies genoeg is op vooral basslines (je kunt het zo laag of zo hoog maken als je het zelf wilt, zonder dat dit ten koste gaat van de algehele vibe).

Wat ik zelf minder positief vind aan dit design, is dat er een 'vertraging' op de record knop zit waardoor het timen nogal oefening vergt. Wellicht is ook dit af te stellen, dat heb ik nog niet ontdekt.
Daarbij raad ik het aan om het ook écht voor slechts FLStudio 21 te gebruiken, maar zover ik vernomen heb kunnen ook overige producer softwares deze synthesizer herkennen en is het geheel erop af te stellen.
