General

Opting for stripped-back simplicity, Alan Ashby of American metalcore band, Of Mice & Men has loaded this TE-style model with everything you'll ever need to build a serious wall of sound. The ESP LTD AA-1 Alan Ashby Signature features a solitary EMG 81 active humbucker at the bridge and a single volume pot. A Tune-O-Matic bridge, ebony fretboard and absent position markers polish off a clean and tight look, and the whole comes dipped in a mean matte Black Satin before being mounted with gold-plated hardware and a brushed gold pickup cover. Case included.

The ESP LTD AA-1 Alan Ashby Signature: Tighter Than Tight

The EMG 81 has been a mainstay of the metal scene for decades and for extremely good reason. This active humbucker delivers ultra-tight output alongside howling pinch-harmonics, while the bridge and tailpiece ensure excellent tuning stability and resonance. Crank up the volume pot and this highly responsive instrument immediately comes to life. The reversed headstock is not just another sweet detail, but helps tighten up the tension of the higher-gauged strings, while retaining a light feel across the lower-gauged strings, supporting a controlled playing feel.
