General

Alexi Laiho, the former frontman and lead guitarist of Finnish death metal band Children of Bodom, has worked with ESP Guitars since 2006. To celebrate this anniversary, new Signature models are being released, namely the Alexi Laiho 20th Anniversary. This electric guitar is a tribute to one of the first Alexi signature guitars. A striking feature is the cutaway at the top of the alder body, this makes it easy to reach the highest frets. Other high-quality components of this electric guitar are the double locking Floyd Rose 1000 bridge and accurate Grover tuning machines. This is the model with a yellow pinstripe, arrowhead-shaped inlays and gold hardware.

Raw sound and smooth playability

Alexi Laiho was a masterful musician and was known for his amazing lead lines and lightning-fast guitar solos. To match Laiho's sound, this ESP LTD Alexi Laiho 20th Anniversary is equipped with a passive EMG HZ F-H2 pickup with volume control. Perfect for rawer styles of music, such as metal and hard rock. The thin U-shaped maple neck with neck-through construction also contributes to smooth guitar playing and provides more sustain and better resonance. The back of this neck has a smooth and satin finish to make playing very comfortable. On the Macassar ebony fingerboard you will find 24 extra jumbo frets. A luxury ESP hard case is included.
