A more attainable rendition of the ESP Alex Skolnick Signature model, the LTD AS-1 bears a classic Eclipse-shaped mahogany body but with a few tweaks to meet the exacting demands of the Testament guitarist. The LTD AS-1 is available with two different paint jobs: Silver Sunburst or fresh Lemon Burst.

The single-cut body has been topped with a slice of flamed maple, which doesn't just look pretty but adds a sweet touch of bite to the warm sonic foundation laid down by the solid mahogany body. The matching mahogany neck has been set in to boost sustain, while the rosewood fretboard injects full depth and has been finished with a set of twenty-two frets and abalone of mother-of-pearl block inlay position markers. To finish, the headstock truss rod cover comes stamped with the AS-signature logo.

Seymour Duncan, Tonepros & Grover

While this is the more affordable edition of the Alex Skolnick Signature model, it still bears some boutique grade details, like the smooth and secure mechanics of the Grover machine heads and the ultra-stability of the TonePros bridge and tailpiece. Loaded with a pair of Seymour Duncan humbuckers, where the JB at the bridge takes care of the rougher, more raw work, and the '59 at the neck delivers warm and sweet cleans and leads, you're assured of full range tone, while the included case and set of Dunlop Straplocks serve as the chocolate sprinkles on top.
