General

With the Tortoise, Fazley expand the Sunset Series with a style-packed semi-acoustic guitar kitted out with a comfy thinline and hollow poplar body complete with vintage-style f-holes. This model takes its name from the pre-mounted faux-tortoiseshell pickguard which, combined with the fresh paintwork, strikes a stunning colour contrast. The Fazley Tortoise semi-acoustic electric guitar comes complete with a form-fitting gig bag.

The Fazley Sunset Series Tortoise: Articulate Sound

Fazley have loaded the Tortoise with a passive single-coil pickup at the bridge and a throwback lipstick pickup at the neck, completing a classic combo that spits broad range, bright, defined and deliciously twangy sound. Boasting high-grade specs, the Canadian maple neck has been roasted to boost stability and comes topped with a Graph Tech TUSQ nut to guarantee outstanding resonance, while smooth and light playability is assured by a 12 inch fretboard radius and a full set of twenty-one medium frets.

Ik ben een zeer ervaren gitarist (50+ jaren ervaring en er hebben er al veel gitaren de revue gepasseerd. Ik heb een paar serieuze top Amerikaanse en Japanse merken. Uit pure nieuwsgierigheid deze Fazley gekocht voor 160 euro (ging nog wat korting af). Een dag later bezorgd door DHL. Niet mijn favoriete bezorger! Instrument zonder schade ontvangen. Zag er vlekkeloos uit. Alle schroeven nagespannen, speling uit de stemknoppen gehaald en de hals gesteld met bijgeleverd gereedschap. Kaarsrecht dankzij een goed functionerende halspen. De snaarsleufjes in de kopkam(nut) kunnen nog iets lager. Maar de snaarhoogte over heel de hals was goed af te stellen tot een super lichtspelende snaarhoogte, mede dankzij het vlekkeloos fretwerk. De elementen hebben een lagere output dan, en niet de echte twang als fenderelementen, maar ze zijn werkelijk goed bruikbaar. De Fazley wordt geleverd met een dunne bag die weinig bescherming biedt en met een gitaarkabeltje dat ik niet heb geprobeerd. Voor 160 euro een onwaarschijnlijk fraaie gitaar waar je je absoluut niet voor hoeft te schamen en waar Fender heel zenuwachtig van wordt.

J'aurai pu mettre 5 étoile, mais la guitare est arrivée avec un éclat important sur l'embase du manche. Etant habitué à régler et réparer mes guitares, j'ai démonté le manche et recoller la fissure ( j'aurai pu la retourner, mais le manche me plaisait beaucoup ) . Sinon le reste est parfait si on prend compte du rapport qualité/prix. . Le manche est vraiment très agréable , l'érable torréfié est vraiment beau, le chevalet . wilkinson au top , la lutherie , le vernis vraiment bien. Les micros sont précis dans la tonalité, juste un manque de niveau sonore mais on peut pas tout demander pour ce tarif. Le réglage de la guitare et notamment l'action est bien maitrisé. la house est un petit plus .Emballage au top.

För priset är den kanonbra gitarr enda tveksamma är stämskruvarna, fast det finns mycket sämre sådana.
+++++ Rak hals och jämna band, bra ljud och snygg gitarr. Byter man stämskruvarna är gitarren värd det dubbla priset.
