Mooer GTRS Guitars Standard 800 Gold Intelligent Guitar with Gig Bag
I play in a semi-professional band in my spare time and I'm always interested in gear that makes my life easier.
I've been a Line 6 Variax user for some time, but found the lack of availability of new/replacement instruments disappointing. This Mooer GTRS guitar does almost everything and condenses my rig into a single instrument, so I can travel lighter. No more big pedal board, just this guitar and a lead straight into the desk. I tried it out at home and at rehearsal and I was impressed with the sound quality and playability. It held tuning well too. The Super Knob is easy to use and the volume knob works well to clean up dirty sounds to a light crunch when needed. I really like the gold body colour and roasted neck too. I didn't tweak any sounds, just used the stock ones and they sounded good. I'm looking forward to using the editor app and finding more tones that work for the songs I play.
Charging the battery took several hours the first time, but the second time only took a few. The USB-C charging socket is a great idea - I used the cable from my Prime P1 for the guitar. The P1 will be my backup rig. The guitar can be played as a regular guitar too and sounds decent to my ears, so I feel confident about using it that way if I run out of battery. All in all, it's a great value and nicely designed/executed guitar plus modeller/effects unit. I really recommend it. Mooer are bringing out some incredible products. I hope it continues long into the future!
