The Motu 10pre is yet another audio interface that delivers towering performance. This brand has always done that, of course, for decades, but let's still take a look at what they have made now. The numbers: 26 inputs (ten XLR/jack inputs and two sets of ADAT) and 28 outputs (eight TRS outputs, two sets of ADAT and twice headphones). But that's only what you have in terms of physical connectors. Internally, this interface can handle 128 inputs and 128 outputs. And then we get into networking territory: with the AVB networking standard, you can send that huge I/O, for example in the context of huge 'immersive' audio configurations. With other devices, you could send those AVB networks back to analogue outputs - if you wanted to. If you look at the price, and read all these stories about dizzying amounts of audio tracks, you will understand that this is not really a product 'for the band'. This Motu 10pre is a delightful interface for the biggest music projects imaginable, operated by audio engineers with brains, in high-end studios.
