General

The Zoom F3 is a real workhorse of a recorder. You can tell that straight away from the build quality of the device, and you’ll notice it in the no-nonsense workflow. This field recorder has two high-quality XLR microphone inputs with an extremely low noise floor. Thanks to the 32-bit floating-point bit depth, it’s practically impossible to ruin your recording with an incorrect gain setting. This is ideal because, during news reports or nature recordings, you can’t just do a quick test run. The F3 also offers various mounting options. For example, you can attach the recorder to your boom pole or your arm using a Velcro strap. Naturally, the F3 also features a 1/4-inch threaded mount so you can attach it to a camera tripod.

Have been using these for a week or two now and am very pleased. I wanted to be able to play guitar without disturbing the rest of the household, but still be hearing roughly the same guitar tone I get from my amp speaker. These headphone do a great job at a reasonable price, they are comfortable for extended practice and appear well made. Bax also did a great job, getting them to me quickly and well packaged.

1st Time I've tried this cable brand so its early days but plugged it in and it works so a good start, seems solid enough for the price but time will tell. For some reason I seem to kill cables at the XLR plug by what looks like excessive cable rotation and I don't mean spinning mike around my head on end of cable but cable always seems to get twisted breaking outer insulation and then a copper core gives up. Could it be because I don't have a mike stand?

Nice clean sound. Not too fussy and ideal for my domestic use environment when used for listening to various genres.

Nice and light too with a good fit. So good in fact, that as I suspect these will get scarce at some stage, I may even buy a spare pair. I have several pairs of headphones and all are very individual but these seem to combine the qualities of them all to give me just the level of detail I like but without being overbearing in any particular frequency range.

Product is great. Different from your normal "recreational" headphones in that it portrays the true audio signal and doesn't make any frequency compensation such as boosting the bass, like my previous headphones. They run loud from a very low volume and pick up ridiculous levels of background detail. Bought primarily for music production and am not disappointed.
