The beauty of this super-compact and easy to control module is that it's been built with a minimalist approach to electronic music in mind. There are filters, there are effects, there's a step-time sequencer complete with a sought-after stutter effect - among others. But this groovebox is also a sampler, so you can capture short custom samples of anything you want, edit them down and build something completely fresh. And that's exactly why the LIVEN Lofi-12 comes so hotly recommended - not because it does all of this perfectly, but because it does it slightly imperfectly - in a good way - by keeping the bit-rate low and the sound raw.
