Eigenlijk een schande dat Neumann dit durft uit te brengen.Laag en mid okay. Maar in het hoog... wat een afgang. Een beyer dt770 is in hoge tonen veel transparanter. Fan van Neumann microfoons en luidsprekers, maar dit... Neumann onwaardig.

De sound van deze microfoon is echt ongelooflijk! Waar ik merkte dat de zang opnames met de Røde NT1a soms wat onprettig waren om terug te luisteren, neemt deze mic het ‘ware’ geluid op en klinkt het erg puur om terug te luisteren, zeer prettig aan je gehoor en weinig EQ aanpassingen nodig

Ik ben gewoon om naar muziek te luisteren en mijn mixings te maken met een Sennheiser HD 25 II 70 ohm koptelefoon omdat die een perfect stereogeluid en bass weergeeft en ook redelijk " krachtig " klinkt. Mijn eerste indruk van mijn nieuwe Neumann NDN 20 was eerder een beetje teleurstellend. Ik heb dan de laatste mix van " Revolver " van The Beatles daarmee beluisterd en ben nu alles behalve teleurgesteld. Ik moet het volume wel een beetje verhogen maar wat een mooie klank en detailweergave. Ik vraag me nu ook af hoe die heel dure koptelefoons dan klinken in jullie gamma ? Conclusie : ik ben enorm tevreden met mijn aankoop van de Neumann NDH 20

heb al heel wat beluisterd om mijn audio ervaring te vinden in een hoofdtelefoon. Heb de afgelopen 40 jaren naar magnetostaten en electrostaten luidsprekers gehad. Deze ervaring zoek ik in een hoofdtelefoon. Na een review op youtube voor deze gegaan. Wat een afgang! Na 3 dagen teruggebracht. Dit zegt al meer dan genoeg.
Voor de luistersessie heb ik gebruik gemaakt van de SMSL-SU8 dac en de iFi micro versterker.
Het eerste wat me opviel was dat het hoog erg scherp en 'essy' was. Later viel me op dat het geluidsbeeld dof, een enige sluier, geen snelheid en vooral totaal geen emotie bij mij teweeg bracht. Ik zat naar de hoofdtelefoon te luisteren. Het programma sonarworks bracht enige verbetering. In- en uitschakelen ervan bracht twijfels over dit te gaan gebruiken. Daarna niet meer gebruikt. Die avond heb ik de boel met roze ruis een burn-in test laten doen. De dag erna was het scherpe beeld grotendeels weg. Wat in de plaats kwam, saaiheid en dofheid. De sluier was meer aanwezig. Als je de hoofdtelefoon een tijdje draagt, vergeet je dat je hem op hebt. Dat was prettig.
