To set up a simple yet endlessly effective X-Y or ORTF stereo setup, all you need is a pair of microphones with a cardioid polar pattern. With the SE Electronics T1 large-diaphragm condenser microphone set, that's exactly what you're getting - a fuss-free stereo pair, both with a fixed cardioid polar pattern. Both microphones also feature the same titanium diaphragm as the multi-pattern T2 model, so you're guaranteed the same detailed frequency response and ultra-fast transient response, meaning that every nuance is captured in full. The high-pass filter and -10/-20dB pad switch have also been retained from the original T2. Activate the pad and record extremely loud instruments without overloading the internal circuit and tweak the high-pass filter to get rid of any overbearing low-end frequencies when close-miking acoustic instruments. A neat and uncomplicated all-rounder of a stereo pair, the SE Electronics T1P set comes complete with two shockmounts, a stereo bar and a case.
