However, the rise of condenser microphones stole some of the limelight, forcing ribbon mics to the background a bit. Luckily, though, Shure is trying to change that with the KSM313! Because while condenser mics can handle increasingly lower frequencies, they're still not as good as ribbon mics. This Dual-Voice ribbon microphone is hand made in America, and thanks to some excellent engineering it turned out to be a highly durable mic that is excellently suited for use in the studio.
