This semi-acoustic Caribou guitar not only has that delightfully quirky look for which Duesenberg guitars are renowned, but also, naturally, that characteristic German superior build quality. The original body design, with its unique soundhole, creates a look all of its own, lending this chambered-body electric guitar a timeless elegance. Duesenberg’s signature nickel hardware also contributes subtly to this, with the short-version Diamond Deluxe Tremolo tailpiece standing out in particular.

Caribou: lightweight, powerful in sound

The body of this Duesenberg guitar is crafted from solid American alder and is hollowed out to create special, large sound chambers. These not only add an airy tonal character to the fundamental sound, but also ensure that this semi-acoustic Caribou is exceptionally lightweight. The neck, glued to the body, is made from a single piece of maple, which in turn features a rosewood fingerboard. All this combines to produce a powerful and clear semi-acoustic core tone with a slightly rounded accent in the treble range.

A variety of amplified sounds and an incredibly enjoyable guitar-playing experience

To deliver a nice variety of amplified sounds, the Caribou is fitted with a humbucker pickup configuration, a 3-way pickup selector switch, plus two volume and tone controls. The GrandVintage Humbucker at the bridge delivers full-bodied double-coil tones, whilst the neck position features a Domino P90 pickup. In addition to the lightweight body, the medium D neck on this Duesenberg ensures a comfortable playing experience. To make the overall playing experience exceptionally enjoyable, this high-quality semi-acoustic guitar has also been tuned using a special PLEK treatment.
