The 8 inch woofer has a naturally bigger sound than the LP-6 monitor, so the recommended listening distance is widened to 50cm to 3.5m, making it more capable of taking on larger projects and therefore larger studio. The rear control panel has been fitted with a small army of switches so that the output can be accurately calibrated to match with the studio space and positioning, and since this is the Second Wave, it boasts the same level of on-board tech as the IN Series. So, you're getting 3dBs of extra output and a 12dB noise reduction and the new DSP chip does wonders for the high frequency reproduction - an immense levelling up in terms of the overall performance. The build quality has also been raised to match, completing a comprehensive production and mixing partner.
