General
The Boss VE-2 Vocal Harmonist is an effect pedal for vocalists, and an exceptionally good asset for singers who accompany themselves on guitar. This compact pedal packs all you need to create a polished sound - just like you would in the studio - wherever you are. It's powered by batteries, which means you can play on any street corner and still rely on your own familiar sound. The VE-2 produces vocal harmonies that follow your own voice, based on the chords of a plugged-in guitar, a selected key, or a combination of the two.
No Need for a Sound Engineering Degree
Creating perfect real-time harmonies is a piece of cake with the VE-2. You don't have to be a sound engineer or an expert in harmonics to do so. At the back of the pedal you'll find a guitar connector. Plug in a guitar, and the VE-2 automatically detects the chords and key, and adjusts its harmonies accordingly. There are 24 types of harmony to choose from: 12 one-voice and 12 two-voice harmonies. With the VE-2's variation button, you can even double that number. If you don't have a guitar to plug into the effect pedal, it's possible to manually select a key by means of a key knob. The Vocal Harmonist also has a practical hybrid mode, which combines the two methods, following both the guitar's chord progression, but letting the manual setting take over once the guitar chords drop out.
Additional Effects
In addition to harmonies, the VE-2 also delivers various delays, reverbs and combinations thereof, which can all easily be adjusted with the twist of a knob. An enhance function makes your voice sound like you've brought your own studio engineer with you. It controls the dynamics of your voice, ensuring a professional sound, and is even capable of making subtle pitch corrections. Use a USB cable to connect the Boss VE-2 to your computer, and you're able to directly record your voice and matching harmonies. The effect pedal supplies phantom power - even when it's battery-powered - so you can use your condenser microphones for an optimal result.

La raison? Lors de certaines représentations nous ne pouvions être au complet et le rendu vocal en pâtissait car moins de choeurs.
Reçu il y a quelques jours, je fais le test direct avec mes claviers. Et chose non mentionnée, ça fonctionne avec tout type d'instrument connecté (mais aussi pour harmoniser un cuivre, une flute, un violon du moment que ça passe par le micro).
Force est de constater que ça fonctionne diablement bien. La palette est large (tierces, quintes, octaves inférieures et supérieures))c'est plutôt propre et les harmonies sont bien respectées.
Le petit bémol se trouve au niveau de la latence sur certains accords. lharmonie est décalée de quelques milisecondes et des fois c'est pas glop...
A utiliser sainement et sans surcharge et ça fait des merveilles!

Ik vind het apparaatje vooral erg geschikt voor muziek met niet al te ingewikkelde akkoordlijnen (zoals bijvoorbeeld country, gospel en de meeste popsongs (die vaak niet meer dan 3 tot 6 akkoorden bevatten). En wil je alleen een deel van het lied in harmonie zingen? Geen probleem, want met een simpele tik van je voet op het pedaaltje schakel je over van 'harmonie aan' naar 'harmonie uit' en andersom. Wat mij betreft een aanrader.

Ik was benieuwd naar de mogelijkheden c.q. functioneren in combinatie daarmee.
Zij wisten ook niet goed of dat mogelijk was en of de VE-2 naar behoren zou werken, maar ik kon het zonder problemen uitproberen ik moet zeggen: Het werkt wonderbaarlijk PRIMA !
Zelfs met ingeschakelde ritme en automatische begeleiding functioneert dit pedaaltje fantastisch.
Een aanwinst voor mijn muziekkamertje.
Ik gebruik een stereo / mono kabel om mijn keyboard aan te sluiten en de rest zoals aangegeven.
Apparatuur inschakelen, spelen en zingen maar, je staat versteld wat de VE-2 dan doet.
Gebruik hem wel met mate, want je bent er zo aan verslaafd.
Mooie galm, ook in combinatie met de harmonizer.
Wel zuiver zingen want je hoort het direct als je de harmonizer gebruikt en niet zuiver zingt, het is dus ook een leuke training om goed te zingen.
