General

Anyone looking at the back (the connectors) of the RØDE Rodecaster Video Core may think "haven't I seen that before?". And that's right, 'tis the back of the RØDE RØDECaster Video S, but really literally. In short, what's the story of this product.... The Video Core is basically the same product, but without the controls of the Video S. So how is one supposed to operate the Core? It could be done with an app on the computer. But it gets more fun if you have a Rodecaster Pro 2, that device then acts as a controller for the Core. Faders, pads, it's all supported. And since you don't need your own controls with the Core, that's left out, for a better price too, of course.

Features of the RØDE Rodecaster Video Core

So once you've chosen and sorted out your controls, you're good to go. So here we are dealing with a video switcher and audio interface. Connect multiple video sources (via HDMI), connect some audio sources (XLR/jack) if necessary, and the result goes out again via the HDMI output. Or. via a live stream to all major platforms, via wi-fi, Ethernet or streaming software via USB. We live in fascinating times, one video product after another appearing. The great thing about this little Core box is its control via the Rodecaster Pro 2, and chances are you already use it, of course, if you are serious about this field.
