General
Want to gain an understanding of how to build an electric guitar without having to start building from scratch? Then a self-build kit is the perfect stepping stone. This Boston KIT-LP-45 contains all the parts you need to build a solid body guitar, down to the tiniest screws. The mahogany body has a maple (flamed maple) archtop that you still need to finish yourself with a lacquer or varnish of your choice. So some woodworking knowledge is necessary, but all the sawing and milling has already been done, so you don't need specialised equipment. The neck is also mahogany (so you'll need to sand and treat that too) and got a pau ferro fingerboard with frets mounted ready to play. Hardware and electronics are also included in the price, with a tune-o-matic bridge, two humbuckers, four potentiometers and all cabling.
