Let's be honest, while multi-pattern microphones are super-handy, of all the polar patterns in all of microphone-land, the cardioid polar pattern is the most-used. This is exactly why SE Electronics has offered up a simplified edition of their renowned SE4400 microphone: the SE4100. This large-diaphragm condenser microphone features the same natural sounding capsule and extremely low noise-floor, but with the added twist and convenience of a fixed cardioid polar pattern. The high-pass filter and -10dB/-20dB pad have both been retained from the original model, completing an incredibly versatile studio microphone. Activate the pad and comfortably set up this microphone to serve as an ambient microphone for drum kits or even brass ensembles. Tweak the high-pass filter as needed to close-mike acoustic instruments, resulting in recordings wiped clean of overbearing lower frequencies. The efficient SE Electronics SE4100 microphone comes complete with a shockmount and a case.

Exactly the same Microphone as the Se4400 sounds so much more expensive than the price, it has Extremely well-balanced microphone. Comes with a wonderful Metal box and an amazing Shock mount I highly recommend getting this Best microphone under £400
