NAMM 2016: Denon DJ MCX8000 Preview
Denon has already announced that the company will return to the DJ market at full force on January 18th. With the arrival of the MCX8000 - and the images we've seen of it so far - we can't help but get excited about what this new piece of DJ kit promises to offer. Official specifications haven't been announced yet, however, so like everyone else, we'll have to wait patiently until Denon DJ uncovers more specific information.
Taurus Launches T-Di Plus Bass Preamp and Abigar eXtreme Drive Pedal for Bass Guitars
The Polish Taurus company has always made products that cater to musicians' needs. If someone discovers that a certain effect or preamp is lacking in a certain area, then the Polish designers (musicians themselves) try and remedy that with innovative and clever products. The new Taurus T-DI Plus is a great example of that. This pedal picks up where the T-Di (a bass preamp/booster with a built-in DI) left off. The T-Di Plus has an extra compressor that's linked to the gain.
NAMM 2016: Yamaha Montage Synthesizer
As NAMM approaches, not a day goes by that new product information is leaked, and it's usually about a synthesizer. This time, however, it's about the Yamaha Montage, and we're happy to report more than just rumours! This is the new flagship of Yamaha synthesizers.
NAMM 2016: Back to the '80s with Electro Harmonix
Late last year, Electro Harmonix introduced the Crash Pad Analog Drum Synth, and at NAMM 2016 they'll be unleashing the Super Space Drum. Where the Crash Pad creates electronic cymbal sounds, the Space Drum generates a typically '80s drum sound - electronic yet warm and full of character. It can be used as either a standalone unit, or in combination with a looper or clock generator, for instance.
NAMM 2016: Three New Hotone Press Effects Pedals Announced
Last year we were introduced to the Hotone Soul Press, and now this series is expanded with the Vow, Bass and Psycho pedals - three compact and multi-functional effects pedals!

NAMM 2016: Casio MZ-X: A New MZ-2000?
The image below recently turned up on the internet. Based on the text and the accompanying specifications, we assume that Casio is trying to lure us to their NAMM booth so they can present their latest keyboard/synthesizer: the MZ-X. This will likely remind keyboard enthusiasts of the MZ-2000, an old Casio model that, considering the words 'Reinvented, Reimagined, Reborn' is apparently about to be brought back to life. Rumour has it that two models will be released, the MZ-500 and the MZ-1000, but take that with a grain of salt; it's very possible that MZ-X is indeed the final name for this workstation.
NAMM 2016: Korg Minilogue Analogue Synthesizer
Another rumour is rapidly spreading throughout the synthesizer community! This time, the stories are about a new synth called the Korg Minilogue - a clever play on words, combining the terms 'mini' and 'analogue.' Both in looks and sound, this promises to be a great little synth!
