General

In order to properly amplify the signal of your microphones, you need preamplifiers. The DBX 580 is one such preamp, and an impressive one at that! It's ideal for studios that need a clean sound, as it securely transfers and amplifies every detail. On the front it features an instrument input, to which guitars with a low impedance can be connected. The preamp also adds a bit of warmth to your sound to vitalise your music.

DBX 580 microphone preamp: overview

This preamp is equipped with a number of practical features that make recording easy as pie! A low-cut filter keeps plosives and any handling noise out of the recording. The 2-band EQ allows you to boost the bass and treble up to 15 dB. 48V phantom power is provided so that condenser microphones get the power they need. With a -20dB pad and a phase invertrr, you can adjust your signal, while a clear VU meter shows you how much gain you need for an optimal result.
