General

Kitted out to fully future-proof any home studio, the USB-C compatible Antelope Audio Zen Q audio interface simply guarantees the very best professional sound courtesy of a sleek and space-saving unit. Under the hood lie progressive AD/DA converters and discrete, linear microphone preamps as well as 64-bit AFC clocking: a system that ensures audio is reproduced with superior, almost atomic precision. Besides unrivalled audio reproduction, the Zen Q uses a set of ARM DSP chips and an FPGA chip, which combined, enable thirty-seven effects to run in real-time and at the same time. And, in terms of inputs, if the two fitted instrument and microphone combo ports aren't enough, then the Zen Q can easily be expanded via the fitted ADAT input.

An Ultra-Powerful, Bus-Powered Real-Time Effect Platform

The stack of built-in effects include everything from vintage equalizers to compressors and from preamps to guitar amplifiers, and each and every one has been modelled down to the last component to result in unbelievable quality. Here, you gain access to genuine analogue warmth that comes as close as it gets to the original hardware these effects emulate while saving tons of studio space, and because everything happens in real-time, there's no monitoring latency. Above all of that, all of the inputs and outputs plus effects can run simultaneously - even without the need to plug in an external power supply, since the Zen Q is fully bus powered. Thirty-seven effects comes included with this interface as standard, but the library can be expanded at will by purchasing more via the Antelope Audio site.

Stay clear. Seriously. I’m back using my previous cheaper interface. Trying to understand the convoluted mixer window to enable an external hardware loop. For reasons unbeknown to me it’s needlessly complex. I tried to install from the launcher. I’ve had to roll back windows, and that’s not working correctly now. If I could give it half a star, I wouldn’t hesitate. 3 days now waiting for a response.
