For the first time ever, the Antelope Audio Discrete Series introduced the high-end audio world to the Synergy Core platform: a system that grants access to a mass of unbelievably realistic effects that are run in real-time by the hardware itself, thanks to a set of intelligent DSP and FPGA chips. The biggest advantages of this system are the non-existent monitoring latency and the fact that it eases the load on your computer, leaving the CPU free to take care of other essential tasks. The Discrete 8 Pro audio interface is the next in line to the Discrete Series legacy, so this time you're getting the hyper-fast performance of a Thunderbolt 3 connection as well as USB. Basically, if you're looking for the best of the best when it comes to preamps and conversion, then you can't go wrong.

Impressive Connection Options & Internal Effects

This interface has also been crammed full with connection options. So, you get the same set of eight microphone inputs found on the Discrete Pro, two of which double as Hi-Z inputs for guitars and line-level instruments, then you get the option to expand the preamps via the pair of ADAT inputs and outputs. Eight outputs are also accessed via the D-Sub 25 port fitted on the rear, and that's next to the ADAT and S/PDIF outputs and the two dedicated Reamp ports, so a recorded guitar track can be fed back through an amp and re-recorded, so the foundation sound can be tweaked after the fact. And, as a sweet bonus, the Discrete 8 Pro comes pre-loaded with a healthy stack of thirty-seven Synergy Core effects.
