The Polyend Play+ takes things a few steps further than the original Play, giving you even more sound-shaping options. Loaded with a massive amount of RGB backlits pads, this multi-track x0x-style groovebox supports smooth and fast sequencing without the need for a computer, keyboard and mouse.

The Polyend Play Plus: What's New?

Polyend have outfitted the Play+ with four synth engines: ACD, FAT, VAP and WTFM. The ACD engine pays tribute to vintage, single-oscillator analogue synths from Japan, while the FAT engine puts the focus on warmer-sounding analogue synths from way back when by setting you up with three oscillators and a solid selection of filters. The VAP engine is essentially a virtual analogue poly-synth with dual-oscillator configuration, which is perfect for textures, pads and more. Lastly, the WTFM engine is a 2-op FM synth, with operators based on wavetables and a 3-way feedback system. Also, everything that was mono before, is now stereo with the Polyend Play+. In fact, you even get the option to send up to 14 stereo tracks to your computer. In short, this second-generation bit of kit is a more than worthy successor and a can't-go-wrong pick for serious groove-shapers.
