This Yamaha Revstar Standard RSS02T is part of the second generation of the popular Revstar series. This is a stylish electric guitar inspired by Yamaha café racer motorbikes. It is based on a chambered mahogany body with a maple top. As a result, you can count on an instrument with excellent resonance, fine weight and perfect balance. In addition, the 3-piece mahogany neck is reinforced with carbon fibre (carbon). In combination with the set-in construction, this provides an extremely stable base. RSS02T with Focus Switch

Yamaha has loaded the RSS02T with a set of VP5 pickups. These passive P90 pickups use an alnico V magnet and deliver a nice bite. Nice detail is that the master tone control acts as a push/pull focus switch. You can think of this as a passive boost, giving you a different sound character. Another notable detail is the 5-way element switch. This also allows you to use the intermediate positions. The result is a versatile electric guitar that lends itself perfectly to a wide range of music and playing styles.

Fine playing experience

Besides the chic looks and lively sound characteristics, the ease of playing cannot be left behind, of course. That is why Yamaha has chosen a rosewood fingerboard with a modern 12-inch radius. This makes both chords and solos easy to play. The 22 jumbo frets are made of stainless steel and are therefore wear-resistant. This will contribute to accurate intonation and less maintenance in the long run. A nice detail is that the back of the neck has a silk-gloss (satin) finish, so the neck doesn't get sticky during long playing sessions.
