The fact that Steinberg has been part of Yamaha for some years now has two nice touches. First of all, depending on the Yamaha product you buy, there is a chance that it includes a DAW from Steinberg. And vice versa, Steinberg has access to Yamaha's highly respected pianos. So the fact that you get the Yamaha C3X sound in the Steinberg Etude software, of all things, is no coincidence. We are talking about an extremely expensive concert grand piano recorded in 12 velocity steps, multiple microphone positions, and ultimately a package of a cosy 18GB in size (compressed from 45GB). Long story not much longer: a great piano sound, so now available for your DAW too!
