General
The software Steinberg Padshop 2 embraces two engines: granular and spectral. Together they are a strong duo, and that duo is the essence of this package, A nice package for granular synthesis, brought in an easy way. Of course, you can then shape the basic granular sound completely with the envelopes, LFOs, filter and a modulation matrix. It's a fitting synth for electronic music, film music and ambient. For more acoustic genres, 't will be just a bit too 'different'. Doch, never say 'never', but this package is mostly experimental in sound.
