Built for producers and musicians who want to take things out of the box, the powerful iCON P1-Nano comes fully loaded with a tactile control panel to support 100% hands-on mixing and mastering. Compact and desktop-friendly, this DAW controller supplies a single and ultra-precise, touch-sensitive and motorised 12-bit resolution fader and a six-button transport section to provide clear and smooth navigation, including Track and Bank buttons. Wrote the following about iCON P1-Nano USB MIDI DAW Controller

Quand ça marche, c'est génial.

C'est le seul contrôleur de cette taille qui permet d'avoir un accès instantané à 8 sends et 8 macros des plugins dans Ableton Live, ainsi que 5 pages de raccourcis : mauve, vert, rouge, et user 1 et 2.

L'idée est géniale : je clique sur Send, tourne le bouton du Send 3 par exemple, clique sur Flip, et voilà, je peux faire toutes les automations que je souhaite pour mes 8 sends, un à la fois, bien entendu en mode Flip ou moins de précision en mode tourner le knob.

Il a plein de fonctions intéressantes, comme les raccourcis qui font gagner du temps (cacher le navigateur, cacher les détails du clip MIDI, session/arrangement, zooms, etc.). En fin de compte, c'est une idée de produit réussie, mais il y a des bugs.

Je l'ai acheté et il n'avait pas le dernier firmware, donc j'ai installé le firmware du 2024-03-04.

Il bug pas mal avec Ableton 10 ou 12, donc il faut être vigilant pour ne pas tomber sur des pièges, comme lorsque l'on utilise les curseurs de choix de piste, à droite du bouton Flip/Master et que l'on tombe dans une boucle infinie sur les sends, il ne reviens plus dans les autres pistes... Il faut cliquer et parfois il reprends, parfois il faut tout recommencer.

Parfois, il bug aussi et ne se communique plus avec Ableton. Je soupçonne que c'est dû au fait que j'utilise le port USB 3 pour la communication et pour le chargement. Icon n'a pas fourni de chargeur mais plutôt un câble USB 3 - USB B. J'ai donc utilisé moi-même un câble USB 3 - USB 3 pour essayer d'améliorer la stabilité, mais ce n'est pas évident. Il faut fermer Live, rallumer le P1 Nano et rouvrir Live pour que tout revienne à la normale.

En lisant d'autres commentaires, j'avais peur et je vois que c'est vrai, mais bon, c'est le seul produit disponible sur le marché qui offre toutes ces options et qui n'est pas énorme.

Je n'ai pas acheté le viseur car je ne m'en sers pas, donc le fait de pouvoir avoir des raccourcis et des automatisations pour les sends / plugins, c'est déjà bien pour moi.

Chez la concurrence il n'y a pas de Flip dans les petits contrôleurs de ce taille.

Wrote the following about iCON P1-Nano USB MIDI DAW Controller

Veel bugs in zowel Icon Nano P1 als de geleverde Imap software. Laatste firmware geladen maar na 1 dag toch al onderstaande fouten/bugs gevonden.

1. In Cubase shortcut for "goto marker 1" is "shift+1". In imap it is impossible to make this keycombination.

2. CC command Faderassign in IMap does not work. Whatever CC i choose for the fader, the midi out from Nano P1 does not change. I checked this with midi monitor programm.

3. Some functions from the touchbuttons have background color, when you delete the function from that button in IMap, the background color stays. When you put new text in this button, text format is not ok, see picture.

4. Data encoder text in the display does not correspond with the function from programmed data encoders.

5. Is there a manual from IMap software, it is now kind of puzzle....

6. Screenshot from touchbutton in Imap is not the same as what is shown on Nano P1. In screenshot everything fits perfect, but in real on Nano it does not fit at all.
