What's this? A new Reface synthesizer? Not quite, but this new gadget does open up new possibilities for the existing Reface synths. Yamaha's mini synthesizers simply beg to be carried around your neck for a keytar-style jam session, and with this new set of strap attachments - the Yamaha KT-reface - you can!

Once again, Presonus has come up with an astonishingly good batch of new products. The ULT series, presented at NAMM 2016, really embodies the company's philosophy. These speakers are powerful, innovative, and something entirely different.

Modelling brand Line 6 had some goodies to present at the NAMM show in Anaheim. First of all, they've presented the Firehawk 1500-watt amplifier, which has loads of sounds on board. They've also expanded their AMPLIFi range with an even smaller model, and so you can keep everything under control, they've also introduced the FBV 3 controller. In short, plenty for anyone to boost their sound!

Often times, a so-called wireless system leaves a lot to be desired. Although the term implies no wires, you're often stuck with a beltpack with cables that have to go underneath your clothes and around guitar strap somehow. Finally however, Line 6 has unveiled a reliable Relay-type system at NAMM 2016 that truly is wireless: the Relay G10.

The Numark Mixdeck Express is back! And now, it's compatible with Numark's new Dashboard display interface and Serato DJ. As such, it's sure to be a powerful weapon in any DJ booth, and this year we'll get to see what it has in store for us. The Mixdeck Express is a true multimedia DJ console, and besides controller functionality it also has CD drives and built-in USB players, making it a highly versatile piece of DJ kit.

The last couple weeks, we've only seen online teasers of the new brand, Mixars. Apparently, the brain behind this company is in Italy at dB Technologies! Yes, that's right. dB Technologies is known for a countless number of smooth-sounding active loud speakers. It's therefore pretty remarkable that this brand is announcing their debut in a time where the DJ market seems pretty over-saturated as it is. It's been years since a serious DJ brand appeared out of nowhere, and the Italians sure seems determined to succeed with their entry-level product range and is ready to take on some heavy competition.

At the Pioneer booth, we found some remarkable devices by Pioneer DJ. However, Pioneer DJ themselves did not want to comment yet... To be continued!

At this year's NAMM show, Denon has already introduced a number of competitive new products, so the fact that they've now also announced their very own turntable shouldn't come as too big a surprise. With the VL12, Denon DJ has developed their own unique model. Its most remarkable feature is a built-in LED ring around the platter that can easily be adjusted to suit your preferences.
