General
Introducing, the ELX200-12P active speaker by Electro-Voice. It's a full-range speaker that produces a wide frequency range of high and low tones thanks to a 1-inch titanium compression driver and a 10-inch woofer. The built-in Class-D amp in this speaker boasts 1200 Watts of power and a maximum SPL of 130 dB. In order to achieve an SPL this high, Electro-Voice have equipped this speaker with their own patented signal converters.
EV QuickSmart
An added benefit to the ELX200-12P by Electro-Voice is the unique QuickSmart technology. This allows you to control your speakers from a distance using the corresponding mobile app. With it, you can fine-tune up to six different ELX200 speakers with a single click! This is especially useful in live setups, as the app notifies you directly on your smartphone if there's a problem or if your speaker settings need adjusting. The QuickSmart DSP technology gives you information about the limiter, the volume and other important data, and it helps you match subwoofers and amp heads smoothly and easily.

Ik heb ook de HK L5 serie (die dubbel zo duur is), maar deze Elx serie van EV hoeft niet onder te doen voor de duurdere HK.s.

Deze speaker creëert een fenomenaal geluid dat je eerder zou verwachten van grotere speakers. De mogelijkheid om zowel delicate geluiden als hardcore nummers even overtuigend te kunnen produceren is spectaculair. De speakers hebben een mooi en robuust design met stevige handvaten die wel tegen een stootje kunnen. Als je het robuust karakter combineert met het licht gewicht en de kleine omvang is het de uitgelezen speaker voor mensen die vaak op de baan zijn met hun materiaal. Je kan verbinding maken met de speaker met gebruik van je smartphone via bluetooth. Deze functie maakt het mogelijk om een aantal opties aan te passen waardoor het gebruiksgemak nog verhoogd wordt.

Ik speel regelmatig op verschillende locaties en had dus een zeer mobiele luidspreker nodig. Deze luidspreker is licht en compact. Dit zorgt er voor dat hij makkelijk te vervoeren is. Ik kan hem eenvoudig alleen opheffen en hij past in de koffer van mijn auto. Een nadeel die ik daarbij wel heb ondervonden is dat de behuizing al wat beschadigd is. Ik kan dus wel het gebruik van een hoes of koffer aanraden om hem te vervoeren. Maar voor de rest is hij snel op te stellen en eenvoudig in gebruik. De geluidskwaliteit is zeer goed en hij gaat behoorlijk luid. Een goeie aankoop.

Ik heb deze speaker gekocht voor mijn akoestisch bandje. We bestaan uit twee zangers, een akoestische gitaar, een viool en een drummer. Ik ben nog niet veel speakers tegen gekomen die elk van deze instrumenten zo goed kan weergeven. De stemmen klinken zeer natuurlijk. De hoge tonen van de viool klinken heel mooi zonder schel te klinken. Zelfs de lage tonen van het drumstel klinken goed. Dankzij dit grote bereik is dit dus de ideale speaker voor ons. Hij gaat ook zeker luid genoeg. We geven af en toe kleine optredens en dan moeten we het volume slechts op ongeveer 60% zetten. Er zit dus nog veel potentieel in deze speaker om grotere optredens te geven. Wij zijn er zeer tevreden over.

De ELX 200-12P speakers produceren een rijk, helder en gebalanceerd geluid met genoeg kracht om de ruimte te vullen. Deze speaker gaat echt wel luid en verliest zijn kwaliteit niet met het volume te verhogen. De begininstellingen zijn over het algemeen ook in orde waardoor het heel makkelijk is om ze te beginnen gebruiken. De app maakt het nog makkelijker omdat je op die manier het geluid kan aanpassen terwijl je in de zaal staat om te zorgen dat het geluid van de speaker afgestemd is op de ruimte waar het optreden doorgaat. De covers er bij kopen is een goed idee voor zij die plannen er vaak mee op stap te gaan.

Als dj voor huwelijken was ik op zoek naar een speaker die uiteraard goed klinkt, maar ook makkelijk is in gebruik en eenvoudig mee te nemen en op te stellen op een statief. Dat heb ik allemaal gevonden in deze speaker. Hij is heel licht en behoorlijk compact. Daardoor is hij dus makkelijk alleen op te heffen, te vervoeren en op een statief te plaatsen. Op nog geen twee minuten kan je hem opstellen en is hij klaar om te gebruiken. Dus gebruiksvriendelijk is hij ook. Bovendien heb ik enkel nog maar complimenten gekregen over de muziek, dus hij klinkt ook zeker goed. Voor kleine feesten is deze speaker dus ideaal.

Ik heb deze speaker voor mijn rockbandje. Ik heb ze gekocht als upgrade voor mijn vorige speakers, en ik ben zeer tevreden met deze upgrade. Hij gaat een pak luider dan mijn vorige. Ik heb hem zelfs nog geen enkele keer op z’n maximum volume moeten zetten. Het maakt niet uit hoe luid ik hem zet, het geluid blijft zuiver. De hoge tonen zijn mooi scherp en blinkt hij echt in uit. De lage tonen zijn ook zeker niet slecht. Beter dan dit kan je eigenlijk ook niet verwachten van een 12 inch speaker. Als je echt vaak muziek met veel bas speelt, kan een subwoofer hierbij wel een aanwinst zijn. Ik gebruik er geen subwoofer bij en ben zeer tevreden.

Super speaker! Het geluid is echt fantastisch helder en luid, de bass is soms wel erg aanwezig. Soms is dit juist goed maar soms is het net te veel voor een nummer. Dit is dan ook maar mijn enige minpunt, voor de rest ben ik heel positief over deze speaker. De speaker is namelijk relatief licht, maar wel erg stevig ontworpen. Ook wordt deze speaker niet te warm dankzij de vele ventilatie sleuven. Wat natuurlijk erg fijn is zodat de speaker zolang mogelijk mee kan. Uiteindelijk geef ik deze speaker vier sterren en geen vijf sterren vanwege de bass.

De Electro-Voice ELX200-12P laad mijn muziek klinken op die manier die ik mezelf had voorgesteld toen ik ze maakte!
Hij is licht maar toch krachtig genoeg om zowel lage als hoge tonen goed te laten door klinken.
Zeker in combinatie met de andere boxen, blazen ze je letterlijk omver! Daarnaast heb je geen subwoofer meer nodig, de bassen komen goed tot hun recht door de power van deze box.
Op vlak van installatie zijn de draag hendels aan de zijkanten van de luidspreker zeer handig om hem op een statief te heffen. Hierdoor is hij ook makkelijk te transporteren.
Voor mij was het een zeer goede investering! Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is zeker en vast top.
