General

A more-than complete podcast-focussed console, the Tascam Mixcast 4 has been designed exclusively to support both live and pre-recorded podcast production. Connect up to four microphones and record to the internal memory or to a computer via USB. Besides a set of microphone inputs, the Mixcast 4 also offers a TRRS port for connecting up a phone and conducting call-in interviews while the mix-minus function effectively dodges feedback and the ducking function can be used to tone down jingles and background music whenever somebody is talking. The microphone inputs have also been furnished with a phantom power switch to accommodate condenser as well as dynamic microphones, and adjustable effects so you can add some reverb for some big and airy drama, or use the Voice Changer effect to mask a speaker's voice. The auto-mixing function also bears a lot of the workload since it automatically matches and balances the microphone signals - perfect if you're the producer as well as the presenter, and to finish, this console provides a bank of sample pads so you can easily trigger audio snippets or jingles without the need to set up an external sampler. In short, this is the ultimate all-in-one podcast production tool.

Werkt perfect, kan opnemen op SD-kaart (wel wat geduld hebben om te formatteren en transfereren) maar kan ook tegelijkertijd 14 kanalen naar garageband sturen op een Apple apparaat via USB.
