General
The Yamaha MG10XU is a compact 10-channel analogue mixer with a built-in interface and SPX multi-effects. It's equipped with four mono channels with an XLR / jack combo connection and a class A D-PRE preamplifier with phantom power. The preamps deliver a full, natural-sounding bass and tight, clear high frequencies. Furthermore, the MG10XU has three stereo line inputs. The sound of every channel can be adjusted with precision thanks to the 3-band EQ, and channels 1 and 2 also feature a voice-optimised one-knob compressor, which is ideal for getting vocals to come out over the mix.
MG10X: USB interface
The sound of the master can be recorded via the USB port with your Mac or PC with a maximum resolution of 24-bit /192 kHz. The mixer is delivered including the download version of Cubase AI so you can get started composing and recording your own music right away.
XU models and SPX multi-effects
The MG series by Yamaha is quite comprehensive. Something unique to the XU models is that they're equipped with SPX effects. The multi-effects from this series can be found in many reputable studios and are of very high quality, and include chorus, flanger, distortion, reverb and delay, which can all easily be accessed with the preset button.
