The first four analogue inputs are each supported by a Legacy 4K button. Hit it to coat the sound with analogue colour inspired by the legendary 4000 Series SSL console. Basically, when you hit that button, you get as close as possible to the sound of classic albums from the seventies and eighties, giving you mix-ready sound whether you're treating the selectable microphone or line input. The SSL 12 also boasts a superior set of preamps that supply more than enough headroom no matter what you're recording. Ik gebruikte (al vele jaren) mijn M-audio projectmix I/O met veel plezier, maar was ondertussen aan vervanging toe (oa phantompower gaf problemen). Ik was al gebruiker van de SSL plugin suite en 360 software, dus keek eerst naar de SSL interface en besloot voor de SSL12. Ben tot nu toe zeer tevreden, hij voelt solide en werkt perfect samen met 360. Pre-amps zijn goed genoeg en DI klinkt goed. Aparte mix maken voor sec uitgangen en 2 aparte koptelefoon uitgangen is simpel in te stellen. Hopelijk in een toekomstige software update kun je de SSL plugins ook gebruiken bij opnemen... dan zou het de ideale interface zijn

Ik heb de SSL12 nu twee weken in gebruik. Hiervoor had ik een FR Scarlet 2i4 (1st gen), waar ik altijd tevreden over ben geweest maar die na 9 jaar wat kuren begin te vertonen. De SSL12 komt met software om de monitor mix oa in te regelen. Het kostte me wat moeite om die te doorgronden. Ik ben zeer content met de SSL, 4 inputs is fijn, maar vooral het gebruikersgemak bevalt me. Kwaliteit is top. Ik heb ook de beschermkap erbij gekocht, wel prijzig, maar maakt het helemaal af. Happy camper hiero, en, hij kan tot 11, one more!!

Erg goed geluid, 4 uitstekende microfoon preamps of line in aan de achterkant, 2 instrument ingangen aan de voorkant (op kanaal 1 en 2), 2 maal stereo uit, duidelijke level meters per kanaal, 2 afzonderlijke koptelefoonuitgangen met uitgebreide configuratiemogelijkheden.... en ga zo maar door.

Zonder gebruik van adat zijn er 4 ingangen gelijktijdig ter beschikking. Alles voelt degelijk en de knoppen draaien soepel. Ook zo fijn dat er stipjes zijn aangebracht rondom de knoppen waardoor je snel favoriete instellingen kunt herstellen. Met de 360 software is het alsof je achter een mixer zit en de routingmogelijkheden zijn zeer uitgebreid. Ook de functieknoppen zijn erg fijn. Eindelijk geen gedoe meer met drivers en met een buffer van 128 zit ik rond de 7 ms round trip latency. Als je aan 4 ingangen voldoende hebt kan ik deze interface van harte aanbevelen. Bijzonder tevreden met dit product.

Na het bouwen van ons vocal booth hadden wij een nieuwe interface nodig met 2 koptelefoon inputs. Na een paar bekeken hebben zijn wij voor de Solid State Logic SSL 12 gegaan. Opnames klinken super en de plugins die erbij zitten zijn in sommige opzichten een stuk beter dan wat wij gebruikte waardoor ons geluid een extra boost kreeg. Product zelf voelt zeer stevig aan en kan best tegen een stootje. Voorheen hadden wij een focusrite en dan is dit zeker wel een upgrade.
