General

The bass; in the early days of keyboards and synths, a bit of a sound that manufacturers easily got rid of. After all, it was always snowed under by the arrangement and other instruments anyway. Besides, it was never played melodically anyway, so why bother? Fortunately, things are different nowadays, with software like Steinberg Electric Bass. This does allow you to play bass parts that stand up in a solo setting. Multiple basses (J, P, MM), multiple pickups, multiple virtual stompboxes, multiple amplifiers and multiple cabinets. Different playing styles, legato and slide. The conclusion will be clear: if you're looking for a virtual bass: this is it!
