In contemporary film music, we notice that the music becomes a bit more subdued, a bit smaller, a bit more ambient and a bit more detached. With pianos in particular, this is evident: the piano is becoming duller and more subdued, something you might recognise in Thomas Newman's soundtracks. So: you want that too! And then Steinberg Verve has just that sound for you! Not a piano that Tchaikovsky would use for his concerts, but in the film world this type of piano is like the salt in the kitchen: indispensable.
