For starters, Steinberg also has a nice DAW available: Cubase Elements 15. For a small price, you get a full-fledged DAW, which is most likely more than adequate for starter projects. Even complete with a score editor for nice scores. We all have to learn the production process in something, don't we? Then let it be in this Cubase Elements. Those starters can easily get started with the Songstarter Packs. You get more tools in the form of Groove Agent SE, HALion Sonic and more.
