The Telefunken M82 Kick is a dynamic large-diaphragm microphone designed specifically for powerful low-end sources, and you can hear it immediately. From kick drums to bass amps, floor toms and even heavy rock vocals, the M82 delivers a deep, punchy and mix-ready sound with impressive definition and control. Where many kick mics sound aggressive or overly "clicky", the M82 instead combines warmth, attack and natural body in perfect balance. The result is a powerful low-end that comes in solidly without getting muddy, combined with a tight transient response that lets every beat come through clear and controlled. The M82 features two handy EQ switches that let you adjust the microphone's character directly to the source. The Kick EQ adds extra low-end presence for a full and modern kick drum sound, while the High Boost gives extra attack and definition when you need more click or articulation. As a result, the M82 effortlessly adapts to different genres and recording situations, from vintage rock to modern metal and everything in between.
