General
The Yamaha URX22C audio interface is a notch above the UR12 and UR22 in terms of price and features, but then this interface offers a bit more. Nevertheless, it is and remains a member of the same family. Once a family with 'Steinberg' on it, Yamaha (owner of Steinberg) now makes these interfaces under its own flag, so that Steinberg can focus on their famous DAW software again. This UR22C has two inputs, where input 2 can also act as Hi-Z for electric (bass) guitars. It also has DIN MIDI on it, which is very welcome for older synths. The software package is more comprehensive than on the 12UR eb 22UR. You still get Cubase AI with it (a very comprehensive entry-level DAW), as well as Steinberg Plus (virtual instruments), but also the Basic FX Suite.
