General

The TDI Duo brings Fred Forssell’s acclaimed DI circuit to a two-channel format. This is ideal for anyone who needs to route stereo sources to their DAW, or simply requires more channel capacity without compromising on sound quality. Each channel utilises the same ultra-low-noise JFET buffer and crystal-clear Lehle step-down transformer as the single TDI: minimal distortion, minimal noise, and signal integrity over long cable runs. Each channel features its own ground-lift switch to prevent ground-loop hum, and a -20dB pad for speaker-level signals and active instruments. It’s just as versatile for use with instruments as it is with line-level sources such as drum machines and synths. The practical advantage lies mainly in its scalability: mount three TDI Duos on a standard 19" rack tray and you have a six-channel 1U DI station. Compact, road-ready, and built in the same robust steel chassis for which AEA is renowned.
