Yamaha UR12 MK3 White audio interface

In the past, the Steinberg UR audio interfaces have proved very popular. Now Steinberg has been owned by Yamaha for a while, and for the new audio interfaces, they decided to release them under the Yamaha banner, giving Steinberg's focus back to software. In short, time for the Yamaha UR12 MK3; different name, but the same popular product family. If you are a guitarist, or a vocalist, this is a very decent interface. The idea of the interface is that you connect a mic or an electric (bass) guitar, and the rest of your track is already in your DAW. For connecting a (stereo) synth or other sound source, the UR22 would be the better choice. Not that the UR12 doesn't have two inputs, but they are somewhat different from each other. Generally, producers want identical inputs, and so for such a stereo source, the UR22 is the nicer choice. Speaking of DAW, that's Steinberg again so; you get Cubase AI with it so you can get started right away. It is an entry-level DAW, but in all honesty: 32 audio tracks, 48 MIDI tracks and 16 instrument tracks, is certainly more than enough for starters (or small-scale producers/singer-songwriters). Steinberg Plus is still included, for additional virtual instruments. All in all, a great product at a great price!
