The Zoom AMS Series audio interfaces present producers, musicians and serious live-streamers with a neat and portable recording solution. This road-ready interface features two combo XLR and jack inputs and four outputs to support an array of options and audio applications. Plug in line instruments as well as Hi-Z instruments like electric guitars, and to take advantage of the podcast-focussed features this interface has to offer, simply switch it from Music to Streaming mode, where the inputs are combined to simplify the setup, leaving you to focus on the show. Flip back into Music mode and the input options are more advanced to support professional audio recording.
If you need to record a stereo signal, the two inputs can be combined and controlled via a single gain knob. If you need the inputs to be split to do things like send two different mixes to both headphone outputs, then the process is just as simple. And, when it comes to podcasting and livestreaming, what many audio interfaces are missing is a 'loopback' function, which allows users to combine the inputs with the outgoing audio to easy add backing tracks to the live stream while the presenter speaks over it. Thoughtfully, the AMS-24 supplies a dedicated Loopback switch. This efficient and accommodating model can be bus powered, battery powered, or fed power via a Zoom AD-17 AC power supply (not included).
