General

The Telefunken TF39 Copperhead Deluxe is a tube microphone with a distinct character: big, warm and musical - but at the same time surprisingly natural and controlled. This microphone is designed for producers and engineers looking for a rich vintage vibe without loss of detail or definition. The TF39 builds on the much-loved "Copperhead sound" of the TF29, but adds extra flexibility thanks to three switchable directional characteristics: cardioid, omni and figure-8. As a result, the TF39 feels just as at home with intimate vocal recordings as it does with drum overheads, room mics, piano, acoustic guitars or horns. What immediately sets this microphone apart is its impressive low-end response combined with an open, airy top-end. The sound is full and deep without becoming muddy, while vocals and instruments retain a natural presence that cuts effortlessly through a mix.
